IoT has the potential of improving our home life, of enhancing our life style, of ensuring highest performance for our smart homes and smart cities’ connectivity where we can enjoy monitoring and controlling any possible electronic device or sensor. However, while we believe the industry has all the technology ingredients in place, the business models are becoming extremely complex and facing new challenges. The infrastructure and service providers will have to support ever quicker and more secure transfer of data between networks, in order to ensure reliable connectivity at all times. Mission critical applications such as security, video surveillance and emergency services and will be of crucial importance for users and will drive the need for the most reliable backhaul across industry segments.
